Great bread begins with the freshest ingredients and a simple recipe. Our three main doughs consist of nothing more than flour, water, salt and yeast. The complex flavors and aromas that are evident in our breads come from a long, slow fermentation process and the use of pâté fermentée (old dough).
To finish off these pieces of bread bliss, we manually load our loaves into a stone deck oven which produces a perfectly crisp crust and a deliciously creamy interior. It’s hard to find bakeries in this area that follow this Old World style of baking and it definitely makes our products unique.
We sell so many different kinds and styles of artisan breads that it would be difficult to list them all, but here are just some of our most popular breads:
Baguettes: With a crisp golden crust and a creamy interior, this bread goes perfectly with any meal and is delicious all by itself.
Pain de Campagne: All of the flavors and aromas come from a long fermentation process. This is the traditional French country loaf.
Focaccia: This thin Italian flatbread is made with extra virgin olive oil and topped with fresh rosemary and then dusted with coarse sea salt.
Oatmeal Crunch: Oats, flaxseed, and poppy seed blended with three different kinds of flour (bread, wheat and rye) and honey, make this the ultimate healthy sandwich bread.
Brioche: This all butter French egg bread is decadently rich and can be eaten for breakfast or at any time of the day.
Dinner Rolls: These great rustic rolls can be plain or in any of the following varieties: Oatmeal Crunch, Rosemary, Onion, and Parmesan.
Hamburger Buns: Made with honey, milk and butter, this roll will make any sandwich taste better. These are also available as Hot Dog Rolls.
Toscana Sandwich Rolls: This 6 oz. torpedo roll will make any great sandwich even better.
White Sandwich Bread: Honey, milk and butter make this crusted loaf soft and delicious.
Rye Sandwich Bread: Molasses and caraway seeds give this loaf it's unique taste and texture.
We utilize a French lamination method for our pastry dough which produces multiple layers of butter and dough rolled into a very thin sheet. From there we can produce any variety of French pastries from the classic buttery croissant to our regionally famous cinnamon buns. See below for a complete listing of our decadent pastries.
